This wedding was so sweet! Just family and friends in the backyard, followed by a lovely brunch. The details were perfect, from the flowers, to the cookies to the guest favors (Prosecco and macaroons!) This wedding actually took place the week after Hurricane Harvey hit the coastal bend. Part of the beautiful ivy covered fence, that was part of the backdrop for the wedding, was taken out by the storm. With some labor, some sweat and some luck they got a new fence put up and added some new landscaping. I wouldn’t have known if the bride hadn’t clued me in on the quick fix they did. Everything looked great. Congratulations Lesley and Mathew!

Grace and Ryan chose to have a New Years Eve wedding so that they could bring all of their friends to Corpus, have an excuse to get dressed up and have awesome NYE plans! They were successful, they had a rocking wedding reception at The American Bank Center. Everyone ate, laughed and danced their way into the new year. The day started off pretty fun too, all of the girls got their hair done at Planet Sol. We then headed to the mall to get makeup done at all of the different makeup counters. It was a really efficient way to get a lot of girls dolled up at the same time. After that we headed to The Holiday Inn so Grace could put on her dress. The wedding mass took place at St. Thomas More church. It is a gorgeous church and the Christmas decorations, and decorated trees, really made a fun and unique backdrop for the wedding. Grace holds a very special place in my heart, I’ve known her since before she even liked boys, and to be part of her wedding day was very endearing. All my best wishes for a wonderful life together Grace and Ryan!

Claudia and Adam are so funny. I felt like I could barely take a photo of them without one or the other laughing at something they said to each other. The wedding mass took place at St. Louis King of France Church, one of my favorite churches in Austin. One of the highlights of the service were the EIGHT flower girls and two ring bearers. It was hilarious trying to get a photo of all of them during formals! The reception was at Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek and it was wonderful weather and a comfortable easy-going timeline for guests to visit and enjoy the evening. Their day had many things that didn’t go exactly to plan. Their priest had the wrong time for the mass [found an alternative priest] , the mariachi band got in a wreck in the rain on the way to the reception [found another mariachi band that could make it!] and someone else’s cake was put out on the cake table before the reception [but Claudia’s cakes were the best I have ever ever seen!!!] This couple didn’t skip a beat or even raise an eyebrow when things went off script. They rolled with the flow and everything turned out perfectly. Thank you so much Claudia and Adam for letting me capture your wedding day. It was a blast and totally on point. DL

This was my first elopement! The couple came into town from Dallas and I met them just 20 minutes before the wedding. It was a gorgeous evening and the twilight made for a wonderful backdrop to their simple ceremony. The flower ring they stood inside was done by The Honey Bee and the Hound and added just enough to frame their ceremony site. I was also surprised by the officiant! Brewer is an old high school friend of mine. So wonderful to work with her, Emily the florist and Celeste from Cinnamon Shore.

Some people just like to have parties. This couple is expecting their first child so of course they had to have a party. It was at their ranch in Woodsboro. The afternoon event included delicious food from Hester’s, flowers by Blossom Shop, GiffyGram, face painting, a calf scramble and of course a gender reveal. It’s a GIRL! Miss Sidney should be making her grand entrance any day now so I had to make sure and share these photos before she arrived.
